Personal Statement

Lostock and Barton is a vibrant, diverse area with so much potential—and it needs a voice that will fight for fairness, investment, and real change.

I have been living in Trafford with my family for 11+ years. I have been involved in various community projects for local residents. Foodbank donations for South Trafford Foodbank, Community event and Developing Green spaces to name a few recent ones.

I did my undergrad in electrical engineering which has given me strong analytical skills. I have done MSc in Innovation management from Manchester Business School which has trained me for strong management, entrepreneurial and communication skills.

I work in the Education sector with hands-on experience in quality, compliance and regulatory affairs.

I have a strong desire to make a difference and help people in our community and I believe that the councillor acts as a bridge between the community and the Council. I want to be a councillor who listens and is well informed about the issues that affect the residents. I will be visible, approachable, and accountable to everyone in Lostock and Barton. I will hold regular community drop-ins, engage with residents directly, and ensure community’s concerns are heard loud and clear at Trafford Council.

As a Labour councillor, I will work tirelessly to tackle these issues. I am committed to improving public services, supporting our local schools, making our streets safer, and pushing for cleaner, greener neighbourhoods.

I believe in Labour values—fairness, social justice, and community. I will bring these principles into every decision I make. I will stand up for families struggling with the cost of living, fight for proper funding for youth services and mental health support, and push for action on climate and air quality—especially near the busy roads and industrial areas that affect our ward.
